| TRT(Turkish Radio Television Coorparation) is replacing low power UHF tube amplifiers with the LDMOS amplifiers |
 TRT bought 30 units UHFAMP700 (700W LDMOS Power Amplifier Module) from ONAIR and they are changing valve power amplifier with these new modules by using 2 units LDMOS amplifier module at their 1 kW transmitters.
TRT technicians said that “We need these modification due to tube transmitters have more power consumption, need maintenance and replacement. These modifications are simple and quick.”
UHFAMP700 uses 2 pieces Freescale MRF6V3450 LDMOS and has 21 dB gain and higher efficiency. Supply Voltage is 45-50 V DC and current is 15 A for 500 W at analog broadcasting. It can be used as DVB-T amplifier. Some manufacturers have started to use it as DVB-T Amplifier.
